Mexican Trip

Mexican Fairytale

All of us when we travel are expecting take back a great history to talk about with our friends and family. Well, i'm proud to say that i had that awesome history, and also proud to tell you, here, now. If you want to know more about my week in a caribbean paradise, keep reading.

My mom never used to buy anything by TV sellings, but this time was different. While she was cooking, saw an advertising which it was offering a Mexico trip, mainly to Cancun, Tulum and the Riviera Maya, in Quintana Roo. After she bought it, she came with the new to tell us, to my family and me.

The trip was programed to finish of december, we were going to stay there in new year. We traveled in december 28th,  we arrived to Panama and then the flight continued to Cancun. First of all: the airport. It's very organized and comfortable. Big, spacious, and clean. After doing all the formalities, and before to exit the airport, we lost a lot of time listening to a seller, a seller which supposedly was a international agent. Then we exit a took the hotel transport...

We arrived to the hotel after an hour, more or less, of highway trip. We stayed in the Ocean Spa Resort. About it, it's awesome. Extensive corridors, big golf courses, luxury restaurants, beautiful beaches, and awesome bars too. The bedrooms was very comfortable. The food was delicious. All was great.

Also we visited a lot of places, and we took a lot of tour programs. The first was called Hixtory, and consisted in visit the pyramid of Chichen Itza and Tulum town and ruins. The first stop was at Chichen Itza. When entered in the town and then arrived to the pyramid, an icon of Mayas culture. It was really huge and imposing, and while you were watching at that wonder, it took you to the past of México.

Then we passed by Tulum town and we had lunch in a Rancho. We ate ranchero rice, jalapeños salad, and tamales quintaneros with sopa tulumeña. The tamales were terrible, and the soup too, but the rice with beans and beacon was delicious, and the salad... Extremely spicy and so hot.

We continued to the Tulum ruins, and when we arrived we got surpirsed. They're like a huge castle, full of green corridors, point of view to the sea, and too much cliffs and ravines.

Another tour programs that we took were Xenotes and Adventurex. Xenotes consisted in visit the most huge cenotes of Cancun. We saw 6; one was under the ground, like a cavern. Another was really really big, it was almost three floors deep. After that we came back to the hotel.

The next day we took the Adventurex tour program. Consisted in visit another cenotes, smaller than the other, but this time each person was driving a quad (quad is a motorcycle with four wheels, like a four wheeler). While we was driving the quad, we could see and enjoy the nature of the road in a different way. It was very exciting.

About the city.

Cancun, from a overall point of view, is a great city. It is like a compact metropolis. Big highways, awesome discos, huge restaurants, big casinos, wonderful hotels, luxury boutiques, and all of that in a almost small city. The life rhythm in Cancun isn't too acelerated, but it's so consumer. There in Cancun you can see how people always want to show others their most luxury side.

New year party.

In december 31th we went to a different hotel, which was included in our travel plan. It was called Royal Ocean Resort: three towers, which one with 30 floors in front of a really long and beautiful beach. The party started at 8:00 p.m and there were bars, musicians, orchestras, dancers, magicians,  all of the best international food you want, drinks, shots, and all of that. Great party, great night, one of the best way to close down a year, next to your family, making new friends, meeting people from all the world, dancing, enjoying the best food ever, full of luxuries... In conlcusion, in México.

Thanks for reading.
